Steps to show or hide navigation pane in File Explorer on Windows 10: Step 1: Open File Explorer. Step 2: Choose View on the menu bar, tap Navigation pane, and select or deselect Navigation pane in the list. Before long, the navigation pane is shown or hidden in File Explorer as required.
Method 1: Hide / Show Navigation Pane in Windows Explorer Using Ribbon
- Press the Windows key + E hotkey to open Windows Explorer.
- Click the View tab, and then click the Navigation pane button in the ribbon. In the drop-down menu, you can click to check or uncheck the “Navigation pane” option.
You can redisplay the side bar using either of the following methods:
- Use a gesture. Drag from the left hand side of the screen with two fingers.
- Use the side bar button. Tap the side bar button to show the side bar. You can drag the side bar button to another position on screen. Figure 4.2. Side Bar Button.
To get the sidebar back, simply move your mouse to the very left edge of your MacPractice window. This will change your cursor from the regular pointer into a black line with an arrow pointing to the right. Once you see this, click and drag to the right until your sidebar reappears.
You can keep this sidebar on top of other open windows. To do so, you should right-click the sidebar and select Always on top from the context menu. Then the sidebar will remain on top of other software windows as shown directly below. To customize the gadget bar, right-click the sidebar and select Options.
The sidebar is a graphical control element that displays various forms of information to the right or left side of an application window or operating system desktop.
